Sebastian Bazelmans — Founder, Purple Flame Studio
"WE ALL STUMBLE ONTO A GREAT IDEA. MOST OF US NEVER GET IT OUT OF OUR HEADS."
I've built a career out of closing that gap. I now help people and studios turn ideas into real shipped games and give players new ways to live inside worlds they love.

About Me

I've been making little games for as long as I can remember. Inventing new ways to use chess pieces or designing my own sudokus as a child. But in my professional years I've learned that great ideas are only the starting point. What really matters is knowing how to turn them into games that can actually get made.
Through Purple Flame Studio, I work on multiple productions with different partners, with one simple goal: to share better gaming experiences with everyone.
My experience includes working on projects such as The Karate Kid and The Walking Dead, consulting for other studios on production and product management, and currently serving as Licensing Manager at Paradox Interactive.

The Karate Kid: Street Rumble
A side-scrolling beat'em-up built on the classic Karate Kid films. As Game Director, I bridged the development team and the publisher, steering the project from ideation and licensing through to launch on PC and console.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival
A 2.5D pixel art beat'em-up based on The Walking Dead's All Out War. As Game Director, I lead production and business development across the licensing relationship and the studio partnership, from early deal work through to launch.

Business Development
